New website, Valentines Birthday flowers and Flow-ga!

Check out www.kofloral.com! While the website is slightly under construction, this new abbreviated link (previously: www.kofloraldesigns.com) gets you quick information on my floral business, pictures to stare at, and new fun info....specifically, about FLOW-GA!

FLOW-GA is my newer creation that combines the best of both of (of my) worlds: Flowers and Yoga!! I have hosted a few events where attendees are guided through an hour vinyasa yoga class, provided various light refreshments, then guided through a 45 minute instructional how-to make your own floral design! These events are sure to be a hit with your friends and family! I did one New Year's 2016 event at private residences for yoga then attendees created a New Years design (children even helped!). I see this as a perfect birthday party idea, an afternoon for friends to yoga, wine and unwind with flowers, or bridal parties to do yoga the day before the big day, then creating their own bouquets...the possibilities are endless!! Please contact me with your requests and ideas and let's book an event! Pricing starts at $45 per person for this 2-hour adventure, with discounts based on group size: kristin.osterloh@gmail.com!

Lastly, here are some pictures from a surprise 40th birthday party I provided designs for on Valentines day! It was fun, and the clients were very satisfied!!

Speaking of Valentines Day, if you or someone you know got recently engaged, please contact me for a free consultation to discuss wedding flowers! I look forward to helping you bring your thoughts and ideas to life! (email above)

Cheers!

Twin Oaks House and Gardens Wedding

KO Floral Designs had the honor of doing flowers for my Bride at her wedding yesterday in North San Diego. The weather was gorgeous and the venue green, quaint and just gorgeous! Ashley's colors were plum, peach and cream, with soft greens, which you can see throughout the pictures I have included :)

The wedding flowers included lots of mason jars (24!) that doubled as aisle decor during ceremony, and reception decor as centerpieces :) KO Floral Designs also decorated the cake table with smaller jars and eucalyptus and the sign-in table with a larger jar of over-flowing delicate flowers (anemones, clematis, and freesia...to name a few :)). The stunning bridal bouquet (shown below) came together so well, and was flanked by 5 bridesmaid bouquets and 2 junior bridesmaid bouquets...plus flowers for the little flower girl who I had the pleasure of making the most precious head wreath for! :)

One of my favorite, if not the best part of my floral job is giving the bride her bouquet-- the Bride and her awesome entourage LOVED the flowers as I kept bringing more and more into the bridal suite. The OOOHHs and AHHHHs really filled the room when I pulled out the delicate flower head wreath for the cute 4 year old flower girl (shown below :)).

The staff at Twin Oaks was super helpful and nice, just as the staff is at the "sister" venue Green Gables :) I look forward to doing more weddings at these venues in the future! Cheers to the New Year!

Well Hello!

Its been too long I see since I've posted but with a new website underway (www.kofloral.com -- thanks to my love, getting his Masters degree in Computer Science ;)) and a new year (2016-- we are getting married!!) I figured I need to blog more!!

2015 was a fabulous floral year for weddings, and I also launched my first FLOW-GA event which combines yoga and flowers (my two jobs and loves) into one fabulous two-hour experience! A link will be on my new site with information on FLOW-GA! Email me for details: kristin.osterloh@gmail.com.

KO Floral Designs did our first wedding of the year this past Saturday! The sun came out for this January wedding of my friend and fellow-yoga teacher. The flowers were nude, blush and cream, plus some bright whites and jewels for this be-dazzled bride! Check out some pix! :

Diana, the gorgeous bride, made me blush with her amazing reviews:

"The flowers couldn't have been more perfect. I was obsessed with everything :) you have such an amazing talent. I will strongly recommend you to all my friends that are going to get married...You deserve to be the florist for EVERY wedding. You seriously made my day :))"

The next wedding is in less than two weeks-- two January weddings are rare for KO Floral Designs yet so exciting! I will be back to post more about that one, I promise!! :)

Quarter 1 2012 weddings and Sept. 2012 weddings!

Hello!

It has been too long since I have posted! A few new things (that are cool!):

1) I designed new business cards!
2) I designed KO Floral Designs T-Shirt that is en route to my house...just in time to wear for the upcoming weddings I am designing in September!
Sorry, sideways!

Back in January I had the honor of designing for Sylvia and Rob's wedding at Levyland Estates in Carlsbad. I posted a few personal pictures back on my first blog, and here are a few more that were taken by the wedding photographer...

In February my cousin Lindsey married Dru at the Prado at Balboa Park. The color was a bright and fun yellow that matched an entertaining wedding! Sean Walker Photography took amazing pictures that you can see on his blog, please click on link below (or paste the link in web browser). It was the largest wedding I have done to date and I know Lindsey and Dru were extremely happy with the flowers :) I have added a couple pictures of my own...

In September I have three (3) weddings coming up that I am thrilled to do-- I LOVE getting into designing mode and making masterpieces! ;) Jessica is a previous co-worker of mine, Amanda is a yogi whom I did yoga teacher training  with back in 2010, and Eupheme is friend of my cousin-in-law, Becca. All are completely different color schemes and designs so I look forward to sharing those with you in about a month!

Thank you for reading! Please feel free to email me @: kristin.osterloh@gmail.com!

Wedding of Kristyna and Matt 11/11/11

Bride Kristyna was referred to me last year by an old friend of mine, Jennifer, who I met at high school :) We connected on Facebook (thanks FB! ;)) and it was great to meet with both Jennifer and Kristyna to discuss her upcoming wedding on thier special day of November 11, 2011.

I had the pleasure of designing Kristyna and Matt's wedding at the Prado in Balboa Park with quite a unique challenge -- the wedding colors were orange and blue (Matt's Gator colors ;))!

While it seemed like an impossible feat at first, it all came together beautifully to create a truly vivid wedding on a gorgeous day!

Please click on the link below to see the pictures all taken by the talented True Photography! (picture above is my own)

My first floral blog!

Flower talk has been up recently and several times I have been told I should blog because "its so easy!" Well, wa-la! Here I am to start blogging about KO Floral Designs!

So far this year I, KO of KO floral (Kristin Osterloh, not "Knock Out" as most think ;) ), have designed one wedding. It was for Rob and Sylvia in January up at Levyland Estates in Carlsbad. I was referred by an old friend, Jessica, who works with Rob. Its a beautiful and private spot on a lagoon...when I first toured the spot I thought "this is the kinda place I would LOVE to get married at!!"

Anywho, long story short, the wedding day was a gorgeous sunny San Diego day...in the middle of winter :) Wedding colors were red, white and black and I was asked for advice as to what additional colors would enhance the three already chosen. Instantly I thought punchy pinks and deep purples and what do you know, Sylvia loved the idea!

Wedding florals included several bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages for the bridal party and family. Ceremony decor included an arch that was disassembled and re-used in pieces across the head table (KO Floral is GREAT at helping brides get the most out of thier flowers and money!). 15 3-piece all-white centerpieces adorned the reception-- with black gems and water-submersible LED lights to uplight the flowers (plus, no open flames allowed!). Many other details were included but that highlights the major florals :)

Overall, the wedding was a big success and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Rob and Sylvia's big day!

I will do my best to post pictures taken by my Droid...hopefully soon I can share professional shots!

Excited!,
